Cook Islands: Rarotonga Beach Bungalows

Where the turquoise lagoon boasts one of the island's safest swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking areas, Rarotonga Beach Bungalows fronts on a wide, ocean washed, white sand beach. The tropical reef fish abound here in great numbers with various species of all colors imaginable, which makes for great snorkeling.

Each of the five individual bungalows is free standing with a total surface area of 700 square feet. To capture the Polynesian flavor, the exterior roofs are lined with coconut thatch, the ceilings decorated with island cloth, and the interior walls covered with split, woven bamboo. The furniture is of tropical design made uniquely out of exotic wood. The mood and "mana" (feeling) of our interior decor strives to capture the local, native charm of yesteryear. White sand, Areca palms and rock gardens surround the private bungalows.

Many activities are available within close distance to the resort. Various churches, and a convenience shop are within walking distance from the accommodations. A small, superb restaurant, the Paw Paw Patch, is located right next door that serves full breakfasts and dinners, daily, for gourmet dining.
