We made it home...

Hello everyone...DJ, Austin and myself made it home.  We landed in Pasco at 8:00pm.  Sorry, I wasn't able to post like I had planned.  We were supposed to have Hi-speed internet on the ship...WOW...it was slower than dial up! And of course there internet program is pay-by-the-minute.  I decided I would just update everyone when I got home.  It was to frustrating!

We had a grand time in San Fran.  We walked to Fisherman's Warf.  We ate lunch, people watched, went through the aquarium and then went though several shops.  It was really nice considering the day we had on Monday at sea.  We actually contimplated taking a cab to the airport and flying home from San Fran.  But...decided against it.  I am glad we did.   The rest of the cruise was awesome!

After a day in San Fran...we were at sea for a day.  The ocean was not to bad and of course the kids had a great day.
The entertainment on the Vision was great, along with the service.  There is a lady in the Centrum that sings every night.  Her name is Sherrie...she is fabulous!  If you ever have the opportunity to visit this ship...take the time to see her.  You will not be disappointed.

The teen program is incredible!  It goes until 2 am...way later that I am ever up.  The boys were up later than I every night except one.  The RCCL staff with the kids was great.  All of the kids seemed to really enjoy the leaders.  RCCL definately keeps the children busy.  I did make the boys come and watch the Pink Panther in the theater with me one of the days.  I showed up at 2pm for showtime and had a total of 6 teens to watch a movie with me....please keep in mind...I only boarded the ship with 2...the rest decided they would join us.  It was nice...but of course as soon as the movie was over...they all split back to "their" part of the ship.

We did have an experience on board that was...hmmmm...different.  When we boarded on Sunday I made sure to tell the people at check in to disable my childrens cards.  I just think it is crazy to give 11 and 13 yr old children free reign when it comes to charging.  They assured me this was taken care of and by 6 pm that night the boys would no longer be able to charge to the room.  So being the mother that I am...I kept the cards until 6:30pm.  Then I gave them to the boys.  Austin lost his card on Tuesday evening...but since he couldn't charge on it...I didn't think it would be a big deal...he always had a way into the room...so I never reported it lost.  It is just a room key, right?  WRONG!  Not only are they room cards...but they also hold all of your identification information.

Well...to make a long story short...RCCL never blocked the cards...so they could be charged on.  I just so happened to ask for a review of my account on Thursday...and since the day that Austin last his card...there had been $140.00 charged on video games.  After about 2 hours of talking with a manager at the purser's desk...we finally got the charges removed.

So I guess the lessons that I learned on this sailing are...

1.  Always pack your medicine, necessities and a spare change of clothing in your carry on bag...just in case your luggage gets lost.
2.  if you loose your sea pass card, report it right away
3.  if you want a card disabled...double check that it has been done!
4.  If you expect to spend "quality" time with your teens...think again...they have their own things to do!
5.  Have a great time!!!

I haven't gotten the pictures up loaded yet...hopefully tonight or tomorrow sometime.

Anyway...hope everyone has a great week and  will talk to you all soon!

Warmest Regards,

Gina, DJ and Austin
