Most cruise itineraries are not at sea for a long length of time.  You will visit several different locations in one vacation.  For example, if you do a Hawaiian cruise you can visit up to 4 islands in one vacation.  There are 2 intineraries that offer over night in port.  This affords you the opportunity to expereince night life while visiting that island.   And Norwegian Cruise Line has made cruising Hawaii affordable while on big beautiful new cruise ships.
